Coaching that listens to your erg, not just a calendar.
MyNextRow bridges the gap between raw Concept2 Logbook metrics and actionable, prescriptive training. We help indoor rowers move beyond descriptive logging into intelligent, adaptive progression.
The Logging Plateau
Millions of meters are recorded on Concept2 PM5 monitors every day. Yet most rowers finish a session, look at their average 500m split, log it to the cloud, and wonder what to do tomorrow.
Static PDF training plans ignore yesterday’s sleep debt, stroke rate collapse, or elevated heart rate drift. They prescribe a hard 4 x 1k session even when your central nervous system needs an aerobic recovery flush.
The Prescriptive Engine
MyNextRow changes that. By analyzing your complete Concept2 Logbook history—including stroke rate variability, split decay across intervals, and recent training volume—our AI engine calculates your exact physiological state.
Instead of generic recommendations, you get a custom-crafted interval prescription programmed directly onto your PM5 monitor via standard ErgData workout links.
Our Coaching Foundations
Every algorithm, pace prediction, and interval structure in MyNextRow is anchored in proven exercise physiology and rowing biomechanics.
Cardiovascular Drift & Load
We monitor the decoupling between split pace and heart rate over time to detect hidden fatigue before overtraining or technique breakdown occurs.
Rate-Capped Discipline
Speed on the erg comes from leg drive power, not frantic slide rushing. Our workouts emphasize strict stroke rate caps (18–22 SPM) to build genuine aerobic torque.
The One-Variable Rule
Sustainable progression requires changing duration, stroke rate, or rest intervals methodically—never pushing volume and intensity simultaneously.
Built by Rowers, for Rowers
MyNextRow was founded by Dimitri Vasdekis and a distributed collective of rowers, endurance athletes, and software engineers who spend hours every week pulling on Concept2 ergs.
We built MyNextRow because we wanted a coach that understood the nuances of the PM5 monitor: why drag factor matters, how the force curve diagnoses catch slippage, and why a 2k benchmark requires a completely different pacing strategy than a 60-minute steady-state piece.
Privacy & Athlete Data Trust
Your workout telemetry belongs to you. MyNextRow accesses your Concept2 Logbook via standard OAuth 2.0 permissions to generate workout recommendations. We enforce strict zero-PII logging standards across all server processes and never sell your personal data.
